I was asked by the Twitter account of Mr.Pictures (They are the Production Company of the film) to review this movie. Bullitt County is an action, drama, thriller film. The movie is an hour and thirty-eight minutes long. This film came out late 2018/ early 2019. The top three billed actors in this film are Mike C. Nelson, Jenni Melear, and David McCracken. Between them, I’ve seen to my knowledge, zero percent of their work. The quick summary of this film is “Set in 1977 a few friends reunite for a bachelor party and hunt for old prohibition money, and terrible human nature runs its course. Let’s so how the movie is shall we?

Interest: The movie starts off slowly, but very quickly becomes interesting. It may not be a well known film, but somehow they propel the film to become interesting, even if it isn’t pertaining to the story really. It has a reason to be there, and makes you more involved in the film.

Acting: For people I’ve never heard of, this films acting is pretty top notch! I was pleasntly surprised about the quality of acting, and you can see that everyone really got into their roles pretty darn well. No one seemed out of character in any of the scenes, and they just kept it really fluid and nice. For actors I’m not aware of these guys and gals sell it well!

Storyline: The storyline is good. It is solid no glaring plot holes, nothing outlandish, rooted fairly well in reality and is a fun and enjoyable ride from beginning to finish.

Intensity: The intensity of the film is incredible when it needs to be. For a good part in the beginning of the film, it is pretty calm, you may catch a glimpse or a feel of something being off but you aren’t sure what.

Fights, Guns Or Otherwise: The fights that take place in the movie aren’t perfect by any means, but are interesting entertaining and carry weight. Verbal lashings are quick but deep, and the physical violence never gets very physical but bullets can sometimes fly. It’s all entertaining and makes for a great movie.

Nudity: There is no nudity in Bullitt County, and to be fair, it really warranted or needed. I don’t think it would of helped with the movie at all, there would be no value added. And not every movie needs to have nudity in it. You can get by with a story and some action.

Drama: The drama in this film is great. Seeing how people were versus how they are now, how even now things are changing at a semi fast pace. You learn a little more about the characters with each scene, yo get to make the connection that I feel most movies don’t try to touch on, which is an engrossing back story to a character, without just saying that the character was a certain way before, but now is different. We get shown how someone was different, and while not everything is explained, the gap is lessened tremendously when this approach is taken.

Insanity: At first, I couldn’t think up of enough categories for this film, and then something like this happens, a specific character starts to lose their mind, maybe already has fully, but it’s subtle. And eventually goes full crazy near the end, and it was a great surprise that a viewer can catch before the reveal if you pay close enough attention. It was a great treat, and honestly something I wasn’t expecting out of this film at all, and it was super cool.

Musical Jigs: Okay, so I did run out of actual categories, so this one is kind of a joke. That being said, the jig they played was super catchy, fun, made sense in the film, and was a nice pleasant one and a half minutes to just get the feel for characters and friendship.

Logic: The Logic in the film was pretty tight. No one did anything out of the ordinary that we’d see from things (Crazies acting crazy, normal people being normal) I feel like most people would be okay with how everything turned out in the movie. I thought while it was a bit of a wild ride, everything tided up neatly.

So, Is Bullitt County worth it? Absolutely! I will gladly watch this film again if my friends want to, I’d recommend it to family and strangers alike. I really, honestly enjoyed this film. I’d say this movie you actually need to watch, not necessarily have on in the background. There is more emotion given by the film, than some cheesy film or B film. I give this film a 73.5% which while not perfect, is still a very high and commending thing. Seriously it’s out on most streaming services right now and on DVD and Blu Ray!
