Bird Box Review

Interest: 9/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 8/10 Drama: 6.5/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 8/10 Horror: 8/10 Nudity: 5/10 Gore: 9/10 Logic: 8/10 Bird Box is a 2018 Horror, Drama, Sci-Fi Film starring Sandra Bullock. Its total Run Time is two hours and four minutes. It was requested by Grant Thomas. It is streaming on Netflix if you are wondering. Let’s see if it’s any good shall we? Interest: The movie and idea is super interested. The idea is perhaps not brand spanking new, but it is new enough to bring a smile on my face and wonder what is happening. It’s dark, gripping, and until now honestly plays on a fear I didn’t know I had. It’s something I think if you’re willing to sit through, totally going to grip your interest! Acting: The acting is pretty solid. No jarring actions from characters that make you go “Huh, That seemed odd.” or anything of the sort. The cast is solid and work to...

The Green Inferno Review

Interest: 6/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 6/10 Humor: 5/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 4/10 Horror: 4/10 Nudity: 6/10 Gore: 9/10 Logic: 5/10 The Green Inferno is a 2013  Adventure Horror thriller starring Lorenza Izzo,  Ariel Levy, and Daryl Sabara (Daryl being the young red headed Juni Cortez from the Spy Kids films) The movie runs an hour and fourty-two minutes. Let us see if this movie is worth a watch shall we? Interest: This movie starts off slow as a almost bad college movie (Like people at college) and slowly turns into a semi interesting movie. The movie takes about a third of its run time to become interesting or anything at all really. It finally does get interesting and honestly after it does, it is (for me at least) hard to turn away, you just have to make it through the initial slog, and then you get yourself an okay movie. Acting: The acting in The Green Inferno is pretty solid, character archetypes exist and stay in their re...

Outpost Review

Interest: 9/10 Acting: 9/10 Storyline: 9/10 Audio: 10/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 9/10 Intensity: 10/10 Nudity: 1/10 Visuals: 9/10 Logic: 9/10 So, I was very fortunate to get a sneak peek look at this short Sci-fi film. Justin Giddings & Ryan Patrick Welsh co directed and the trailer they have here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROVJphxoCtw&feature=youtu.be Is definitely a treat to behold, and sadly, until they release the film for the masses, it has to stay a secret, but I do get to review it. Run Time is seventeen minutes and thirty seconds. Interest: My interest was sucked in from the get go. The visuals, actors, sound effects, the story everything is honestly amazing for such a small group to do all of this. The whole team pulled together a very fun, and feeling short film. I was enthralled by the whole film. I was just sad it was so short. Acting: The acting, again for being a small team, is pretty astounding. I really have no gripes about the acting ...

Hell Baby Review

Interest: 7/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 6/10 Humor: 8/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 6/10 Horror: 4/10 Nudity: 7/10 Gore: 7/10 Logic: 6/10 Hell Baby is a comedy Drama movie from 2013. It’s run time is one hour and thirty three minutes. It also has some (to me) familiar actors and actresses who I’ve seen in TV shows as well as movies. The Movie was suggested to me by Jack Goldsmith. Let’s see if this movie is worth a watch shall we? Interest: The movie is definitely interesting. It does horror and comedy in a near “Scary Movie” sense of things, but it’s more scary than funny, although it is still funny, and quite a bit actually. Besides that, the sets look nice, the dialogue is great, and the premise is pretty funny if I do say so myself. Acting: The acting in this film is a little weird. Why I say weird is that one of the characters blatantly asks the questions we do while we watch the movie like “You speak Dog now?!” a...

American Beauty Review

Interest: 8/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 8/10 Music: 8.5/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 7/10 Drama: 8/10 Nudity: 7/10 Unintentional (Or intentional) Humor: 8/10 Logic: 8/10 American Beauty is a 1999 Drama starring Kevin Spacey (I’m sure the rest of these people are famous in their own right, but I don’t recognize any of them personally.) the run time is two hours and one minute. I’m typically not a fan of just straight dramas, but as requested by Grant Thomas, I said I would. So let’s get into it shall we? Interest: So this movie can hold an interest. On the surface at first it becomes a film about typical American life, which while they don’t make it seem brutal, you have to worry about losing your job, or even getting paid at all because you get paid on commission, and it takes a toll on you if you don’t do well, then it becomes a movie that is about falling in love/lust with you teenage daughters friend. it’s an interestin...

The Bad Batch Review

Interest: 6.5/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 6/10 Disturbing 4.5/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 6/10 Excitement: 6/10 horror: 2/10 Nudity: 0/10 Desert scenes: 10/10 Logic: 7.5/10 In a desert dystopia, where something bad presumably has happened, a girl gets kidnapped in the desert, and her dad hires a special lady for the job. Interest: It held interest during the interesting parts, but what I read as a summary made me think this would be more horror, more like the hills have eyes. What it really was was mostly a drama, with like an molecules worth of horror, and an atoms worth of romance. Which is fine in its own right, but I just was expecting a lot more screaming and scary things, than trekking through the desert, which is scary, don’t get me wrong, but it just wasn’t what I thought I signed on for. Acting: The actors were good (Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, Jayda Fink, Jason Mamoa, and Suki Waterhouse) the...

Born in the West (Hell Town) Review

Interest: 6/10 Acting: 6/10 Storyline: 5/10 Cowboy Toughness: 10/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 8.5/10 Excitement: 5.5/10 Cow rancher talk: 10/10 Nudity: 0/10 Cheaters in poker: 8.5/10 Logic: 7.5/10 I think this is the first western I’ve reviewed, and also I would also assume it’s the first John Wayne movie I’ve reviewed (and a young one at that!)Let’s see how good this movie really is? Interest: It was an old black and white western, lot’s of dialogue, little action. But assuming the dialogue was correct (Not going to research it) it was then informative, and interesting about cattle ranching. It kept me interested all the way through with that, some fights, and a love interest in it as well. Not an over the top western, but not something so dry you’d turn it off either. Acting: The film had what it needed to portray a western to someone that just wanted the gist of the old west, and not wanting the t...

Killer Diller review

Interest: 6/10 Acting: 8/10 Storyline: 5/10 Funny: 4/10 Fights Guns or otherwise: 5/10 Excitement: 6/10 Music played within the movie: 9/10 Nudity: 0/10 Magic tricks: 6/10 Logic: 10/10 This film is a comedy drama musical, and made in 1948, a all black cast. I will be working on the merits of the time and assume that nothing is wrong with the film, and treat it as if I were in that time as a normal person. Interest: The film was interesting, all black comedies from this era are all funny, and while racist, and I understand all racism is bad, the time made for some great all black castings of things to happen, and to be honest an all white cast I would of laughed at and watched the same way I did this film, it was honestly a lot of fun. Acting: The acting for the time was good. Some Three Stooges type slapstick comedy, and some actual good acting and I was very pleased with the film as the acting...
